Friday 18th October
Augusta, Maine
Today was our 20th State Capital.
Augusta, Maine.
Turns out, Augusta is a quiet city. Green, beautiful, and quiet.
We had a lovely wander around the Capital building,
spoke to a lovely lady in the Governor’s office (who can’t believe we’ve never seen Downtown Abbey!)
and then had a chat to a lady in the Senate Chamber, and got a good insight into the capped terms of the Senate.

It’s nice here.
We then popped over to the Maine Museum over the road.
They know how to put a museum together, these Americans!

Had another lovely sandwich lunch at Otto’s,
then drove to Rockland Breakwater.
