A Day In Montpelier
Another simple day.
Another State Capital.
And this was a beauty.
Our 21st State Capital.
We were so lucky that the weather was beautiful today.
In fact, we stopped to have a sit down on two lovely rocking chairs,
and after 5 minutes....it was too hot!
We had a fabulous walk into the centre of town,
did the Capital building,
where we had a sandwich and a cup of coffee for lunch in the Capital cafeteria,
and then moved on to the well-thought out Vermont Historical Museum.
All very interesting.

By the time we’d ‘done’ Montpelier, we were tired and hungry,
so at about 4pm, we collapsed happily into Sarducci’s,
an Italian restaurant just on the river.
Salad and a sandwich.
The sandwich was a bit yucky, to be honest - chicken, walnut, sage and cheese...??
but the salads were nice, and there was limited choice in the area.
We booked a table for tomorrow.
We staggered home, and had a nice evening in our lovely 1930’s home.
