A Lovely Journey To Warren, Rhode Island
Our last house
Before leaving our fabulous Manchester home,
we took a few pictures.
This really was a nice place to stay!

This really was a nice place to stay!
We opted for the scenic route today,
as the actual distance between the two points was not actually very far.
We headed South, with the intention of cutting across the ‘bottom’ of
Connecticut into Rhode Island, via glamorous Newport.
It was a lovely route.
Many harbours, lakes, bridges
(Ooh, I do love a good bridge!!!).
We stopped midway at a proper ‘diner car’ restaurant, “Norm’s”,
which was a real traditional diner car, owned and operated
by a fabulously exuberant gay man and his husband.
Within 2 minutes of sitting in our booth, we were laughing and joining in
the hubbub of conversation.
I had a lovely tuna melt, with delicious home made sourdough bread.
Mark had a nice looking breakfast.
We arrived at our gorgeous Airbnb in Warren, Rhode Island,
just in time to have a rest, and find somewhere to eat.
We intended to grab some food at The Square Peg,
a highly recommended eatery just down the road,
but the place was rammed!!!
Slightly disheartened, we continued along the road
to another very highly recommended ‘kitchen’ style restaurant...’Eli’s Kitchen’...
....just as they were cleaning and resetting a table for two!!!
How lucky was that??
I had a really fab Thai curry, and Mark had an equally delicious Jambalaya.
Tomorrow, we were going back to Newport, and walk the ‘Cliff Walk’.
