Sunday 20th October
In & Around Portland
After a relaxing evening and a nice early morning coffee with toast,
we planned our day ‘at home’ in Portland.
First, the beautiful lighthouse at Cape Elizabeth, 5 miles away.
The Portland Head Lighthouse.

No WC
Lighthouse with no shitehouse.

We also stumbled on a Breast Cancer Charity Walk.
Always humbling.
Always humbling.
...And did I mention that we’ve rented a Monster Truck....?
We had another little trip to Walmart...
and then another little trip to the Guitar Centre,
to play guitars for an hour.
Managed to teach a really nice guy how to play
Paul Simon’s Kathy’s Song.

We ended up driving back to Portland, and walking along the waterfront
to a real local fresh fish ‘dive’ called Gilbert’s.
We had a gorgeous haddock chowder and fried calamari.
Wanted to take a picture of the food....but it was too yummy.

Walked back to our ‘loft’ and had some cheese and biscuits,
some fresh fruit, and started the Blazey Card School 2019.
Needless to say, I was victorious.
