Wednesday 30th October
Manchester, Connecticut.
Where is the darn house.....???
It was quite a long drive to our next location,
and by the time we arrived, it was dark and raining,
and we were tired and hungry.
We finally found the house, dumped our cases,
and drove to the Texas Roadhouse,
for what was meant to be Mark’s Birthday Dinner.
In honesty, we were too shattered to eat everything,
but what we had was nice.
We went home, had a cup of tea, and crashed out in bed.
Tomorrow was another day.

We woke up the following morning....
and discovered that we were in the most beautiful place!
The house was amazing (very ‘Brady Bunch’)
and we were slam bang in the middle of the woods.
Mark saw some deer about 50ft from the house.
It was stunning.
Mark made a lovely breakfast,
and we set off to the obligatory Capital Building.
Our 23rd.

Across the road, was the Connecticut History Museum.
Small, but interesting.
Small, but interesting.
For lunch, we went to The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum Of Art.
Fancy....eh?
Actually, it was a lovely bistro inside the museum,
and we had the $13 ‘quick’ 3 course lunch:
soup, pasta & ice cream.
On the way out of the museum, we stumbled
on yet another great iconic work of art.
Andy Warhol’s ‘Jackie Kennedy’.
We’re becoming real culture-vultures!

With such a lovely home to go back to,
we went first to Walmart, and then home, and enjoyed another relaxing evening.
Soup, crusty bread, and TV.
